Since y'all (yes, I mean the ones reading this right now) are scared to comment on the question, I will comment on it.  I think that some of our christian acappella is becoming less holy and more commercial.  It seems as if some of our focus has deterred from winning souls to Christ, to merely selling a lot of CDs.

  Yes, I think that groups should charge somethin'.  I would say no if the churches who do personal invites for groups to come and be a part of their special day would show some monetary love back to the groups for coming.  It takes a lot of money now a days to travel and we (those who invite groups to sing at our homecomings, musicals, or special programs) should realize that and happily compensate for their expenses even if it consists of doing a love offering and splitting it amongst the groups.
